Triple C

Services for your family...

The Triple C Program is designed to support children and families in enhancing communication and minimizing disruptive behaviors. By promoting self-awareness and fostering collaboration among families, communities, and professionals, the program drives positive change.

Triple C stands out with its focus on being Controlled, Cool, and Conscious. This innovative approach to self-regulation helps children:

**Control:** Develop strategies for managing their impulses and behaviors.
**Cool:** Learn relaxation techniques to stay calm and composed.
**Conscious:** Cultivate mindfulness and apply dialectical behavior therapy to understand and navigate their emotions.

The program is delivered through a blend of education, advocacy, and support, available in schools, community settings, or clinical environments. It typically runs for 10 weeks, with sessions lasting 30 minutes, twice a week. The curriculum is structured as follows:

**Weeks 1-3:** Self-Regulation Concepts
**Weeks 4-6:** Relaxation and Anxiety Reduction Techniques
**Weeks 7-10:** Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavior Therapy Techniques

For optimal results, Triple C is most effective when paired with parenting education. Engaging parents and caregivers in understanding and practicing the same concepts taught to the children enhances the program’s impact. Research shows that active parental involvement significantly benefits children, families, and schools (Eccles & Harold, 1993; Illinois State Board of Education, 1993). Henderson and Berla (1994) highlight that the most reliable predictor of a student’s success is not their income or social status but the level of family engagement in:

  1. Creating a learning-friendly home environment.
  2. Setting realistic and high expectations for their child’s achievement and future.
  3. Actively participating in their child’s education both at school and in the community.
